Early in the morning we left Tiznit and drove northwards, passing Agadir and made our first stop at the laguna near Tamri, where we found Acanthodactylus busacki again in the coastal dunes.

Like in the Souss valley, also along the western, coastal near slopes of the High Atlas, Argania trees are growing in large numbers. Many of them are very old and have a mystique appearance.
The oil of the Argania fruits is used for cooking as well as for cosmetic reasons.

In the morning we drove some kilometers back southwards from Safi to have a look to an old known place by mine of Acanthodactylus lineomaculatus. We found them in the Palmetto overgrown slopes as well as in the flat plains along the coast.

South of El Jadida we found a "road to nowhere". The have built an asphalt road up to some coastal dunes, maybe for touristic reasons. But everything was down there. Even the planted Eucalyptus trees looked very poor, maybe of to less water (but every dead Eucalyptus tree is a very good one!)
Here again we found Acanthodactylus lineomaculatus.

The night we stayed some kilometers north of Rabat at the "Nations Beach Hotel". In the morning the weather was terrible: cold wind and heavy rains. So we decided to start our way back to Europe - a good idea, the weather was the same the whole day long and also the next two days!

look to this weather!
